Drug Uses
Premarin is indicated for treating symptoms of advanced breast cancer in selected men and women, treating or preventing a variety of symptoms due to menopause (hot flashes, vaginal itching, burning, dryness), preventing osteoporosis (brittle bones) after menopause, replacing estrogen after failure of the ovaries, and treating advanced prostate cancer in men. Premarin may be used for certain conditions, as determined by your doctor, which may not be listed in the professional package insert. How Taken
Premarin should be taken with a meal. Take it at the same time every day. Talk to your doctor about the dosage suitable for you and discuss stopping taking Premarin 4 – 6 weeks before surgery.
More Information
Premarin may cause dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Premarin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it. Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. Do not use this medicine for other health conditions. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor.
