Drug Uses
Levaquin is used for curing of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used to prevent or slow anthrax after exposure.
How Taken
Take Levaquin as ordered by your doctor. Drinking extra fluids while you are taking Levaquin is recommended. Levaquin works best if it is used at the same time each day. To clear up your infection absolutely, use Levaquin for the full course of curing. Keep using it even if you feel better in several days.
Additional Information
Levaquin may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. These effects can worsen if Levaquin is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Levaquin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. Levaquin should be used only by the patient for whom it has been ordered. Do not take less or more or take it more often than directed by your doctor.
